CLASS INFORMATION

• Classes start in August. Students are encouraged to take full year. Classes, workshops, camps offered year round

• Classes are subject to change due to enrollment

• Payments are due the first of each month. Late fee assessed on the 10th of each month

• Registration Fee per family

• We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express

• Charge for all returned checks

• NO refunds on tuition or merchandise

• Classes subject to change.

• Check calendar for dates of vacation.

THERE IS NO PRO-RATING OF MONTHS SNOW DAYS

Snow days - morning classes are not held when Carmel Clay schools are canceled. Call the voice mail for updates. Make-ups can be scheduled through office, no re-scheduling can be done for classes. No pro-rating for missed classes.

Only 1 make-up per month per student. No transfers of make-ups. ALL make-ups must be scheduled in office, so classes are not oversized. Missed make-ups can not be made up again.

CLASSROOM POLICIES

Parent Meeting held at the beginning of the year.

ATTENDANCE - Students are expected to attend all of their classes • Regular attendance is essential for progress in dance and gym • We recommend all students use the restroom prior to the start of class (especially young ones)

TARDINESS - Students are expected to arrive to class on time with shoes on (if applicable), dressed ready to go • Late-comers not only miss instruction; they are a distraction to the class • the teacher has the right not to admit late comers.

PRIVATE LESSONS - Any student may inquire about private lessons with a particular teacher • Dancers that register after October should schedule a private with their teacher to get caught up on material missed.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP - Students should be brought to class no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of class and picked up promptly after class • We are not responsible for students outside of the classroom/gym

The pay phone is available to make calls, please bring change, the office phone is not available.

• Dance shoes shouldn't be worn outside
• NO jewelry
• NO candy, gum or food
• NO baggy clothing in any classes except hip hop
NO underwear under tights
• We are not responsible for items left in the building.
• Lost and found is by vending machines.

 

CLASS ATTIRE

Make sure child's name is on all items, we can return items easier.

PRE-SCHOOL & PRE-INTRO
• tan tap shoes (no ties)
• pink ballet shoes
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face

INTRO 1-2
• tan tap shoes (no ties)
• pink ballet shoes
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face

LEVEL 1-2 BALLET:
• pink ballet shoes
• dark leotard
• pink tights, (leg warmers/sweaters
are permitted for warm up only )
• hair secured in bun

LEVEL 1-2 TAP:
• tan tap shoes (no ties)
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face

LEVEL 1-2 JAZZ:
• tan jazz shoes
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face


LEVEL 3-5 BALLET:
• pink ballet shoes
• dark leotard
• pink tights, (leg warmers/sweaters
are permitted for warm up only )
• hair secured in bun

LEVEL 3-5 TAP:
• black tap shoes (no ties)
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face

LEVEL 3-5 JAZZ:
• black oxford shoes
• any color/style leotard
  and tights
• hair secured out of face

MODERN:
• classes are barefoot
• any style leotard
• hair secured back

HIP HOP:
• any "hip hop" attire
• street tennis shoes
